I'm a Stress-er

I am writing this post not because I think you want to know everything we eat....because I don’t. I am writing this post to de-stress my life.

You see, I’m a Stress-er (yes, I meant to use the capitol “S”). I stress about anything and everything. Other people will use the word “Perfectionist” (which I am as well), but really my attempt to make everything perfect is what causes stress.

For instance, if Harrison says “What’s for dinner?”, my response might be, “Oh, I don’t know, I forgot to thaw anything out, and we don’t have any lettuce and the tea pitcher is empty....” I mean we would probably starve before I stopped listing the problems I had created. On the other hand, Harrison would walk into the kitchen and pull something out, throw some spices on it, cook it, and we would have something to eat in fifteen minutes. And it would be REALLY GOOD.

So to avoid this whole dilemma that occurs in the particular areas of food and clothing, I have been inspired by Family, Stamping and Food to post my weekly menu.

I’m a little late today...even though I did plan this yesterday I thought the weekend update would be more appropriate.

Here is our weekly Menu:

Monday

Breakfast: Oatmeal

Lunch: Left over chicken dish

Dinner: Fish, Rice, Asparagus

Tuesday

Breakfast: Pancakes and Canadian Bacon

Lunch: Salad

Dinner: Hot dogs at the ball park

Wednesday

Breakfast: Special K Cereal

Lunch: Tomato Sandwich (His) Tuna salad and Wheat Thins (Hers)

Dinner: Hawaiian Chicken, Rice, Green Beans and Pineapple

Thursday

Breakfast: Eggs and Toast

Lunch: Leftover Hawaiian Chicken

Dinner: Tacos with all the fixings

Friday

Breakfast: Special K

Lunch: Salad

Dinner: Pizza

Let’s hope we stick to it! (So far so good....)

Are you a perfectionist too? Or more like my easy-going husband? What stresses you out?

And how do you go about your meal planning?

  1. I definitely stress about the same things. I haven't planned as much as you, but my dinner planning is getting better. What to wear is also always a dilemma.

    How's your toe?

  2. Hi Hannah! Thank you so much for finding my blog and leaving me a note :) I am a Stresser too! Always thinking about what ISN'T right instead of what is. Your menu for the week sounds very good!
