Awesome Weekend Update

I love it when weekends get even just a little bit longer!  This weekend I was able to get a head start and leave work at noon.  I headed home to finish some laundry and pack for Atlanta.  Harrison was off early too so we were able to leave earlier than we planned.
Just as we were driving past “Six Flags” in Georgia, my younger brother, Isaac, called me.  He asked if I had a minute, and I said yeah.  He hemmed and hawed a little asking what we were doing and trying to build up the suspense to tell me...
HE’S ENGAGED! YAY!
We are very excited for him and Erin and can’t wait to talk about wedding plans!
The happy couple and future Mr. and Mrs. Isaac McDow!

We got to Caleb and Jennifer’s house and they had some friends from church over, but my nephew, Michael, was excited for his “surprise” that Aunt Hannah and Uncle Harrison were there!  We enjoyed some time with the boys until they went to bed and then some quality time with Caleb and Jenn until we all got too tired to stay up.
Saturday morning we had a nice relaxing time for breakfast and then we went into town to do some family photos.  Since Caleb is stationed out of the country, they don’t get a lot of opportunity to have pictures taken together, so we wanted to make sure we got some good ones!  We had a great time just walking around and getting some fun shots.  The boys were very well behaved and gave us some good smiles.

Soon after we got back from the photo shoot, Isaac and Erin....aka: fiance (I LOVE saying that!)...got there, and a few minutes later Mom and Dad, Jake and Emma came in.
We had a busy afternoon of kids playing, lots of talking and visiting, and just an overall good time.
Of course, we enjoyed watching our Number one Auburn Tigers play (and WIN!).
We drove home late Saturday night after the game and headed straight to bed.
Sunday morning we enjoyed some time together and a yummy pancake breakfast before going to church.  Ahhhh, how we love our new church!  After church we drove through some neighborhoods in Helena looking at houses.  We’re still waiting for the clouds to open, sun shining down and the “ahhhhh” music and say “That is our house!” hopefully that will happen....
Sunday evening we went to First Baptist Pelham’s (where Harrison’s mom works) Fall Festival.  There were a TON of people there! We had some yummy fall festival hot dogs and enjoyed visiting for a bit.
Then Harrison surprised me with a trip to the dollar theater to see “Toy Story 3”! I have been wanting to see it, but it was such a treat for him to ask me if I wanted to go and take me out on a date.  I seriously love my husband.

So trip to Atlanta, fun with family, photo shoot, brother’s engagement, Auburn wins, Fall Festival and movie date, pretty awesome weekend!
