Weekend Update

*sigh* sometimes I just wish the weekend would last forever.  We had a busy- ish Saturday followed by a lazy Sunday, so Monday wasn’t exactly what I was looking forward to this week.  However, I AM looking forward to next weekend, and Monday is one day closer to that, so bring it on!

Friday Harrison called me before I left work and asked me what we were having for dinner.  I had planned to just throw something in the oven...after all, it was Friday...but he suggested we use our Chick-fil-a coupons that my brother gave us (thanks Boog!) and not worry about cooking or cleaning up.  Sweet, thoughtful husband:-) Plus they just opened back up at the Chick-fil-a near us, they had been closed for remodeling....but I didn’t really notice a big difference inside...hmmm.

After dinner we decided to drive around to look at houses, which is becoming a frequent activity for us.  We had looked at some houses online in an area that is a little out of the city, because they have really low interest rate loans.  But after driving out there, even though the houses looked really nice, we knew it was just too far away from everything.  Oh well.  We know that God already has a house for us to live in and we’re just trying to be patient about finding out where it is.

Saturday we went to lunch with some of our friends for Andrew’s birthday!  We ate outside and it was a little warmer than any of us thought it would be, but we had a lot of fun seeing everybody.  All of these fun couples were there:

After lunch we headed home to watch some football for the afternoon. Meanwhile, I pulled out my wedding dress because the reason I am looking forward to the weekend is that we are going to do my bridal portraits! See, Harrison really wanted to take them himself, and since he wasn’t allowed to see my dress before the wedding we had to wait.  And after that we just wanted it to cool off a little.  I am so excited! So anyway, I got out my dress to look at and try on before the weekend and I think I like it even more now than I did before.  Look for those pictures next week!

Saturday night we went to my parents house for some of my Mom’s yummy chili and some Auburn football.  It was fun just to hang out and watch the game with the family and chill.  

Sunday was just a really relaxing day.  We went to the late service at church and then spent most of the day relaxing around the apartment.  I actually had started reading a book over the weekend and I FINISHED it! I don’t know when the last time that happened, I haven’t had time to read like that in a while, so it was really nice.  

So now on to another week, and looking forward to the weekend already:-)
