I'm finding New Friends today! Are YOU?!?

This weekend we will be traveling to Georgia for my long-time friend, Leanna’s Wedding! So in honor of that this weeks Friday Favorite list is :

My Five Favorite Things about Weddings!

1- The dress- Brides today have SO many different styles and types of dresses to choose from! They can match your personality or the style of your wedding, they can be contemporary or more traditional, pretty much, you can do whatever you want. I love seeing what kind of dress a girl has chosen for her special day.

2- Pictures- OK, so this is pretty much a given since my husband and I have a photography business, but seriously, I LOVE wedding pictures. When the day is over, the dress has been hung in the closet, the cake has been eaten and the flowers have wilted, what you will have left is the pictures of the day. And it is such a joy to look at pictures and see how HAPPY a bride and groom are on the first day of the rest of their lives!

3- Cake- Again, this is a given since my mom owns a bakery, but because I have seen the ins and outs of cake creation I like to see what kind of design the couple has chosen and how the cake maker created it. I also HAVE to taste both the bride and the groom’s cake!

4- Getting dressed up and going with my husband- Seriously! With the busyness that is our lives right now it is so much fun to stop what we’re doing and get dressed up to go to a wedding. After going to so many weddings of friends and sorority over the years, it is SO wonderful to go with my handsome husband.

5- What is the chief end of man? To glorify God and enjoy Him forever. A wedding ceremony between two believing people is a celebration of God’s love for us. It is only because of Christ that a husband and wife can truly love and serve one another. There is nothing better than attending a wedding of two people who are being joined together in Christ.
