Big Weekend!

We had a busy and wonderful weekend!

Saturday we had our very first Infant Photography Session with some friends. We had a great time with them and their sweet son, Larkin.

We were nervous wanted to do a really good job on the shoot, so we have been practicing all week with our equipment, and a baby doll whom we affectionately call “Wilbur”. (I’m not really sure why...Harrison named him)

So Friday night we set up all of our equipment from scratch and went through the our whole plan for the session. We were pretty pleased with our baby doll pictures and hoped we would do as well with the real thing.

Saturday morning we spent a couple of hours with the Denson’s and enjoyed capturing Larkin in action....and asleep. I will be posting these pictures to our photography website soon.

Saturday was also the one year anniversary of our first date! That’s right...we’ve known each other for one year and we have already been married for two and a half months...he he he! What can I say? When you know, you know! So Harrison took me to dinner to celebrate. We went to Joe’s Italian, one of our favorite places, and then he took me to get coffee....much like our first date:-) We really enjoyed just sitting with a cup of coffee and having good conversation with each other. No distraction, no tv, no photography, no dirty dishes or laundry, just each other. I love my Harrison so much, and I can’t believe how much we have been blessed in this short (and very busy) year.

Sunday we visited a church close to home again and we really like it. It just may be our new church family. We went to a small group introduction last night too and met a lot of wonderful people. Our biggest goal in finding a new church closer to home is to be more involved in than just Sundays. So we are excited about the possibilities!

So that’s our weekend, this week we are looking forward to a normal work week, photography, and some very special friends wedding this weekend!

I realize I was a major slacker in the blogging department last week...hoping for better this week.

Happy Monday!

  1. You're so right...when you know, you know. I love how you had a babydoll to prep with. I should probably do that just to get some practice.
